Crispy Chilli Oil
Honestly might have tasted better before adding the soy sauce and rice wine vinegar.
Ingredients
- 500 ml rapeseed oil
- 2 shallots, thinly sliced with a mandolin
- 4 cm ginger, finely chopped
- 12 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp MSG
- 30 dried chillies, blended
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
Method
- Add rapeseed oil, shallots, ginger, garlic,sugar, MSG, and chillis to a saucepan and bring to high heat.
- Cook for 15 mins
- Allow to cool for 15 mins and then add in soy sauce and rice wine vinegar
