Bao Bun



Makes 10 bao buns

Ingredients

Method

  1. Combine dry ingrediants
  2. Add water little by little until it forms a ball
  3. Knead for 5 minutes on a floured surface
  4. Coat a bowl with oil and place dough in the bowl and cover with a tea towel. leave for 1-1.5 hours in a warm place
  5. Knead for 30 seconds to knock the air out and then cut into 10 pieces
  6. Flatten into 1cm discs, brush one half with oil, and then fold
  7. Cover with a tea towel and leave to rise for 30 minutes
  8. Steam for 8 minutes
